The conference registration fee includes lunches and coffee breaks across all three days and integrates the social events listed below. Please email scott.cockroft@ed.ac.uk with any dietary and accessibility requirements.
Poster session (Tuesday afternoon)
A dedicated poster session and drinks reception will be held at the conference venue. Up to three poster prizes will be awarded at the close of the conference.
Conference dinner 1 (Tuesday 7pm)
All delegates (exhibiting sponsors if paid separately) are booked in for dinner at Hanam’s, 3 Johnston Terrace, Edinburgh EH1 2PW. The meal will take a meze format and will include a wide range of vegetarian and meat options.
Conference photo (Wednesday 2:40pm)
The conference photograph will be taken at Old College Courtyard (across the main road to the right on leaving Surgeon's Hall, enter Old College under the dome/pillars). Excavations here unearthed apparatus associated with Prof. Joseph Black's experiments conducted between 1752 and 1795.
Excursions (Wednesday afternoon)
Time is set aside within the programme to explore some of the many sights within walking distance of the venue including: Explore some of the many sights within walking distance of the venue including; Edinburgh Castle, Surgeons’ Hall Museum, the National Museum of Scotland, the Royal Yacht Britannia, conquering the summit of Arthur’s Seat, or whisky sampling.
Conference dinner 2 (Wednesday 8pm)
All delegates (including all exhibiting sponsors) will be booked in for a second conference dinner at Brown's Edinburgh, 131-133 George St, Edinburgh EH2 4JS. Please check your emails to pre-book your food selection (before 30th June 2023).
